Is this not compatible with Firefox 1.4?

It is compatible. I am using the official 1.04.

Doesn't work with nightlies. No dropdown! When I close the sidebar with mouseclick and reopen only a blank sidebar appears. Back to 0.3!

I just installed the latest nightly on another computer. With default theme, Sage, and Scrapbook. Other than the oversized sidebar, everything seems to be working fine.

Mostly likely the dropdown menu not showing is due to extension conflicts or theme incompatibility. I suggest you try using the default theme first.

I can't close any tab after I uninstall this extension!

None works, including mouse gesture, the "Close tab" menu item... So I have to install it again so that I can close tabs. Really Sad... What's happening?

My firefox is 1.0.4, and I have Toolbar Enhancement 0.16.2 installed (which i think might conflict with your ext). And I've changed the userChrome.js in order to put one of my toolbar on the right side of the window (ref: http://www.mozilla.org/supp...)

Oh great... After the uninstallation, a blank sidebar appears everytime I open Firefox, and I can't even close it by clicking the "x" button.

Any hint?

Extension conflicts are really quite a pain. I'm sorry it didnt worked for you. Hopefully future releases will.

Regarding your blank sidebar problem, you might wanna try looking in your localstore.rdf file. Search in the file for "lastopen=". Remove that line. Please backup the file before trying. And do not do it unless you are confident.

A suggestion: is it possible to make a extension to mimic the sidebar behavior in Maxthon and Sleipnir? -- the sidebar shows when you move the mouse pointer to the window edge (no need to click); and it hides when the mouse moves out of the sidebar region.

Would it be possible to squeeze more icons then the 3 already there? There's quite alot of space between each icon (depending on size of sidebar). Still room for at least 2 more.

I have tested it on new clear profile.
If i close bookmars sidebar, then when i want open bookmars, always opens downloads sidebar :((( What tha bag... Back to 0.3!
